historic Hunter's Cottage, which sleeps 4, was formally owned
by Baron de Roincé and
has recently been beautifully restored.
Inside, the spacious lounge has enormous
oak beams and a very impressive stone fireplace with the original
coat of arms.
The fully equipped kitchen and dining room is of open plan design
with french doors opening out to views of the lake and donkey
paddock.
The bathroom is located downstairs and offers a bath, seperate
shower, washbasin and toilet.
Upstairs there is a spacious hallway with exposed beams and
original stonework.
In addition to the 2 bedrooms, there is a washroom comprising
of a toilet and washbasin.
The first bedroom is a double room, with wardrobe and drawers.
The second bedroom has 2 single beds. There is also a wardrobe
and chest of drawers for storage. All bed linen is provided.
All the upstairs rooms have uninterrupted views of the beautiful
French countryside.
For your entertainment, there is satellite television, an assortment
of DVDs, books and games.
The whole property has been restored to maintain its orginal
charm and tastefully furnished further adding to the
character and ambience of this historic property.
Outside
The lake is on the doorstep of the cottage and has uninterrupted
view across the neighbouring
park and forest.
Outside there is a barbeque area with table, chairs and umbrella. For those hot summer days a splash pool to cool off in with views across the lake and beautiful French countryside.
The woodland is an ideal place to explore spotting rare birds such as the Golden Orioles, Red Kites, Hoopoes to name but a few plus other wildlife. You may also stumble upon the deer that roam freely in the grounds of the estate.
Plus, we have Martin and Princess
- our residential donkeys who enjoy a carrot or two and loved
to be fussed over!
